Maya De is a Preceptor in Bengali in the Department of South Asian Studies at Harvard Univerisity.  She worked for the Shantiniketan University in India.  She writes in Begali and is an avid student of Sanskrit.   

Alok De is an engineer and is a community organizer.  He taught Indian culture to local children and helped build the Shishubharati school.  He volunteers in organizing the SAPNE activities and participates regularly.

Jaspal Singh is a social activist and a Management Consultant.  He

is connected to grass root people's movement in India and elsewhere for human rights.  A student of philosophy, he is known for his passionate rendering of own compositions.

Subhash Sehgal traveled through the world in a bicycle and was attracted to the landscape in Trinidad to settle.  He moved to the US in the '90s and has been a proponent of the local South Asia Center.   He s a regular contributor to SAPNE.
